KAITOKE KAPERS: “taking kennels to a new dimension”

We aim to provide a new meaning to the clichéd terms, “ kennel and boarding”.

Alrona Pet Motel is within walking distance of the Kaitoke Regional Park, with its many walkways, streams and rivers.

The main Pakurataki entrance is on Waterworks Road, where there are several bush tracks and large grassy areas to play in.

The photographs to the right are of Chelsea and Angel playing in the river and then a game of ball, in one of the many large grassy areas. These are at the Pakurataki area.

Pups will enjoy the thrill of new sights, sounds and smells, and will return tired but mentally and emotionally stimulated from their outdoor adventure.

We bound up trails and jump in streams and sniff the fresh country air.

REQUIREMENTS:

All dogs panting to participate in this activity, must be able to lead walk without pulling, and must also be socially adept with no aggressive or possessive tendancies toward other dogs.

All pups must also be currently vaccinated with their annual booster and a separate vaccination against canine cough, as per our boarding request.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

With a group of two dogs per adult, we will be walking the animals in any one of the many areas of the Kaitoke Regional Park. 

There are several entrances to this superb outdoor area, which is very dog friendly. We have two in Kaitoke Loop, one that connects to the Cannon Point Walkway at Te Marua, as well as, Kaitoke Hill Track and Pylon Loop Track, and the other which reaches as far as Tunnel Gully Recreation Area, with its many tracks and open spaces. There are also separate trails within these areas, suitable for dogs and humans, enabling everyone to enjoy the peace and quiet of the natural bush.
